Silicon Institute of Technology, Orissa
Silicon Institute of Technology was established in the year 2001 in the state of Orissa in Khurda in Bhubaneshwar. The institute is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology and has the affiliation of AICTE.
Courses Offered:
The institute provides a number of courses to opt from and particularly the engineering bachelor courses. The college provides B.E. course in the following departments such as Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Information Technology and Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering with an intake of 90, 120, 90, 60 and 60 respectively. A full time MCA course of 3 year duration is also offered with a student intake of 60.
Admission:
The admission to any course can be done only after one has successfully qualified the respective entrance tests such as Orissa JEE, AIEEE and CET and JEE-MCA. Admission can be made directly for the diploma holders to the 3rd semester.
Infrastructure:
The college has a sprawling lush green campus which houses all the necessary facilities required by the students. The classes are modernized, the library is well stocked and the laboratories are well equipped. The housing complexes adjacent to the college provide accommodation for outstation candidates.
Placement:
The students are placed in the most reputed corporate giants like Oracle Corporation, Polaris Software, HCL, Infosys Ltd., Aditya Birla Grasim, Tata InfoTech, TCS and other multinational companies.
