Border Security Force was formed on December 1, 1965 under Government of India. The headquarters of the force is located at Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Mr. Raman Srivastava is the Director General of the Border Security Force. The major objective of the force is to protect the international borders of the country during peacetime and also to prevent transnational crime. Border Security Force comes under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Job Profile:
1. Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Master):
Posts Available: 13 posts (Gen-9, OBC-3 and SC-1)
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree is required for the prescribed post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200
2. Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Enginer Driver):
Posts Available: 13 posts (Gen-9, OBC-3 and SC-1)
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree is required for the prescribed post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200
3. Recruitment of Head Constable (Master):
Posts Available: 117 posts (Gen-61, OBC-31, ST-8 and SC-17)
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation is required for the prescribed post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
4. Recruitment of Head Constable (Engine Driver):
Posts Available: 56 posts (Gen-29, OBC-15, ST-4 and SC-8)
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation is required for the prescribed post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
5. Recruitment of Head Constable (Workshop):
Posts Available: 19 posts (Gen-11, OBC-5, ST-1 and SC-2)
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation is required for the prescribed post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
Selection process:
Both written examination as well as the personal interview session are the selection criteria set for the above specified posts in BOrder Security Force.
How to apply: An application fee of Rs. 50 in the form of a bank draft drawn in favour of The Inspector General or DIG/Commandant to whom the application is addresses payable at SBI should be sent alongwith the application forms to the precribed address.

i have post a form to bsf post of headconstable on that time i was only 24 year and 9 months i have given bsf test and result has come i have been shortlisted for physical . my question is that today is my birthday means 19-10-1987 now my age is 25 so and i had applied in general categroy and into this the bsf criteria is only 18-25
