National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, formerly Regional Engineering College, better and popularly know as NIT, is a renowned and well-known institute of Engineering and Technology, and is one of the premier engineering colleges in the Eastern Region, which comes right after the IIT in ranking and merit. It is an institute which is much in demand among most of the engineering aspirants, and it offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology. High end sponsored and self financed researches also take place in the Institute of great value and merit, and it’s a part in national progress, and the development of science and technology.

The official website of the institute is quite a professional one with various sections arranged in a form of a menu bar. A well organized and a properly managed website with not too much graphics, and also having a good download speed due to this factor, the website can be easily loaded in the remotest part of the country with the slowest connection. Further the look and feel is highly professional, and that professional look actually shows the standard of the institute. Also the site is also linked with other NIT sites and work under perfect collaboration between them. The site is well structured and the sections well arranged, which adds to the simplicity of the home page.

Below the picture on the left side in the presence of the sections, Useful Links, Research Activities, Placement Status, and student Tech activities. On the centre lie the sections Important Notifications, and Events and Visitors. On the right side lie similar sections with Admissions, Jobs and Trends, Seminar, Conference and Workshop, and Information sections.
