Bank of Maharashtra was founded in the year 1935 as a premier bank of Maharashtra. The bank has its headquarter located at Shivajinagar, Pune. The bank was registered on 16 September 1935. Mr. A. S. Bhattacharya is the Chairman of the bank. The bank has approximately 1564 branches spreaded in all over India. The bank was awarded with the status of being an autonomous bank in the year 1998. Bank of Maharashtra is the convener of State Level Bankers Committee. Ensuring quick and efficient response to customer expectations is one of the major objective of the bank. The bank also aims to enter international arena through branch network.
Job Profile:
Bank of Maharashtra invites online application from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant posts of Probationary Officers. Only those candidates, who possess a valid score card issued by IBPS are eligible to apply for the posts of Probationary Officers in Bank of Maharashtra. Selected candidates will have to work on probation for a period of 12 months.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Probationary Officers is 20 years as on 1 July 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Probationary Officers is 30 years as on 1 July 2011.
Reserved categories candidates will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. OBC candidates will get relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit. Physically Handicapped candidates will also get relaxation in the age as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates are required to possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the posts of Probationary Officers in Bank of Maharashtra. The minimum educational qualification required for the post is Graudation degree from a recognized istitute or university (recognized by UGC or AICTE). Candidates with Diploma in Banking & Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, will get preference over others. Candidates musthave qualified in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS and should possess a valid score card issued by IBPS.

Vacancies for General candidates: Only 231 posts are available.
Vacancies for SC candidates: Only 69 posts are available.
Vacancies for ST candidates: Only 34 posts are available.
Vacancies for OBC candidates: Only 123 posts are available.
Vacancies for PWD candidates: Only 13 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 14500-25700 per month will be given to the selected candidates.
Application Fee:
Interested candidates (General and OBC candidates) are require dto pay an application fee of Rs. 200. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 50 only. The payment of application fee must be done in cash through the use of challan form or through online payment process through NEFT only.
How to apply: Applications must be made online at the official webiste of Bank of Maharashtra only. Candidates will be allowed to apply online from 25 february 2012 onwards. Online applications made after the due date will not be considered by the bank under any special circumstances.
