Spices Board of India was established by the Government of India under Ministry of Commerce. The board was constituted on February 26, 1986 under the Spices Board Act 1986. Spices Board of India was founded as a result of the merging of Cardamom Board and Spices Export Promotion Council. The board is one of the five Commodity boards working under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
