Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow
Institute of Engineering & Technology was founded in the year 1984 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college was started with an aim to impart engineering education and to promote researches in the field of technology so that the appropriate manpower is generated. Uttar Pradesh Government fully finances this institute and is under the administration of IET Society, which ias registered under 1860 Societies Act.
Courses Offered
The colleges offers Bachelor of technology degree in 7 branches of engineering namely Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemical and electronics and Instrumentation. The college also offers some of the post graduate programs like M.Tech in Environmental engineering, M.Tech in Bio-Technology, MCA and MBA. Presently it also offers M.Tech in Modular Program in Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Campus
The institute is located at Aliganj outskirts or on the entrance from Sitapur road to Lucknow. In the beginning the institute had only around 200 students but now it has nearly 1500 students. The institute has affiliation from AICTE. The institute’s campus was constructed by UPRNN or Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd. The institute\s campus is spread over an area of 100 acres. The campus includes Academic block, substation, one girl’s hostel, two boy’s hostels and around 70 residences.
Admission Procedure
The admission into this institute is through an entrance exam which is conducted by uttar Pradesh Technical University. The candidates have to qualify this exam in order to get into this institute.
