M.P. Christian College of Engineering & Technology shortly called as MPCCET was established in the year 1998 and it is the second private engineering college in Bhilai. The college was founded with the objective of uplifting the marginalized and underprivileged youth by offering quality technical education and it is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University

Academic courses with intake capacity:

The courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and the list of courses offered along with the intake capacity is given below:

• Bachelor of engineering in

o Information technology – 60 students

o Computer science engineering – 60 students

o Electronics & telecommunication engineering – 120

o Electrical engineering - 60

o Mechanical engineering - 120

• Master of technology in mechanical (CAM/CAD Robotics) engineering – 18

Criteria for Admission:

For applying to the UG engineering courses offered by the college, students must have obtained at least 50% of marks in mathematics, chemistry and physics in the higher secondary examination conducted by the central government or a recognized state board. For M. Tech course, candidates must be graduates in engineering in any of the branches like industrial/production/mechanical engineering.

Admission Procedure:

Of the total number of 420 seats in the UG courses, 210 seats are filled through post entrance examination followed by counseling conducted by the directorate of technical education of Chhattisgarh and under this method students belonging to Chhattisgarh are eligible. The remaining 210 seats are filled through community quota. For community quota, candidates must hold CGPET ranking. As far as PG course is concerned, candidates with valid GATE score will be considered for admission.
