The company is engaged in the procurement of fertilizer, paddy, distribution of fertilizer and cotton trading under the support price operation of the Indian government.

MARKFED, Punjab has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Field Officer and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect:

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 79, divided among the different category of candidates as follows:

• General – 24

• SC – 22

• BC – 10

• Ex-servicemen – 15 (BC-2, SC-4 and General – 9)

• Handicapped – 04

• Sportsman – 03 (General – 02, SC-01)

• Freedom Fighter – 01

Pay Brand: Candidates selected for the position of Assistant Field Officer will be coming under the pay brand of Rs. 5910-20200+Grade Pay of Rs.2400. The initial pay would be Rs.9880 plus other admissible allowances.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification:

Candidates must have completed their B. Sc Agriculture (second division) and should possess knowledge of MS-Office and knowledge of Punjabi at matriculation level.

Age: To apply for the position of Assistant Field Officer, candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 37 years of age as on the 1st of January 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and BC candidates and by 10 years for handicapped candidates.

Mode of selection:

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written examination and there will not be any interview. The written test will be conducted for 100 marks.

Application fee:

The cost of application for general category candidates is Rs.700 and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.350. Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee.
