Sophia Girls College, Ajmer
The Sophia Girls College got the status of Degree College in the year 1959 and it was actually established in the year 1919 as a small primary school with the purpose of educating girls belonging to conservative families. Then, after some years it was upgraded as a high school and in the year 1942, it was developed to the level of intermediate college. After the year 1959, it has been growing as a full-fledged degree college for women with permanent affiliation from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University located at Ajmer.

Sophia Girls College offers honors degree courses in the faculty of arts, general degree course in science and commerce faculty. The detailed list of courses offered by the college is given below:

Eligibility for admission:
For getting admission to the honors degree in arts, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 48% of marks, while for pass course it is 45% of marks. For admission into commerce and science degree courses, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with 45% and 48% respectively. For the M.A. in English, candidates must have completed their 10+2+3 with minimum aggregate of 48% of marks or 55% of marks in English. For M. Sc computer science, they should have obtained 55% in 10+2+3 or 55% of marks in computer science.
Infrastructure:
The management of the college added several infrastructural facilities to the college slowly and steadily right from its inception. Some of the facilities offered by the college are knowledge centre, internet café, STD Booth, health club, library, hostel, canteen, computer laboratory, gymnasium, seminar room, conference room, playground, etc…
