Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, shortly called as GIT was founded in the year 2006 on the month of December and the institute is affiliated to Gujarat University for MBA course and Gujarat Technological University for B.E courses. The technical courses offered by GIT are approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Eligibility for Admission:

For UG courses, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination and for MBA course, they must have completed their graduation under any stream of education.

Admission Procedure:

Gandhinagar Institute of Technology admits students based on their performance in the Joint Admission Test conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses. Also, candidates who have completed their AICTE can also apply.

Sanctioned Intake:

The institute admits students through different methods being AICTE, JACPC/GCET and management quota. For bachelor of engineering in computer engineering, 120 students are admitted through AICTE, 90 are admitted through JACPC/GCET and 30 students are admitted through management quota. For information technology and mechanical engineering it is 90 through AICTE, 68 through JACPC/GCET and 22 through management quota. For Electronics & Communication, civil engineering and MBA it is 60, 45 and 15 respectively.
