National Rural Health Mission aims at offering reliable, effective, accountable, affordable and accessible medical care for the weaker section of the population and poor people belonging to rural areas. It works hard to provide good hospital care through assured availability of doctors, drugs and quality services at PHC/CHC level. The mission offers advanced access to worldwide immunization through improved mobilization services, alternate vaccine delivery and auto-disabled syringes. Further, it provides assured healthcare at reduced financial risk through its Community Health Insurance pilots. Some of the main goals of NRHM are reduction of maternal mortality ratio; reduction of infant mortality rate; elimination of leprosy from the state; upgrade all community health centers, district and sub district hospitals to Indian public health standards; and increase the involvement of community in health services.

National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Punjab invites application for the post of Pediatrician for FRUs (CHCs).

No. of posts – 34

Pay Scale – Rs. 30,000/- per month (for normal areas), Rs. 35,000 PM (for difficult areas), and Rs. 40,000/- PM (for more difficult areas).

Eligibility:

Age Criteria – Upper age limit is 65 yrs.

Educational Qualification – MBBS, Post Graduate (Diploma in Child Health or degree in Pediatrics) from any Medical Institution recognized by Medical Council of India. The candidate must have registered with Punjab Medical Council.
