Indian Institute of Technology is one of the reputed institute which comes in the seven Institutes of Technology. The institute was established as a centres of excellence for higher training, research and development in the field of science, engineering and technology in India. Initially, the institute was establihsed with the name of College of Engineering in the year 1961 but later it was declared as the Institution of National Importance under the Institute of Technology (Amendment) Act. Indian Institute of Technology is making recruitment of well qualified and motivated candidates on the regular faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various departments or schools. The various departments or schools includes the names like National Resource Centre for value Education in Engineering, Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, Amar Nath and Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology and School of Biological Sciences.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to meet with all the eligibility conditions that has been set for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Non eligible candidates are not required to apply at all for any of the specified post.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree is the minimum educational qualification that should be possessed by the candidates, who are willing to apply on the faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Candidates should also have some kind of experience in the field of teaching or any other relevant field for the specified posts in Indian Institute of Technology.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

Candidates selected on the post of Assistant Professor will be placed in the Pay Scale of Professor and Associate Professor after the successfull completion of 3 years.

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates is to be made by the means of an personal interview test taken by a selection committee. Only selected candidates will be allowed to give the personal interview test to the selection committtee. Candidates will be selected for the interview only on the basis of their applications.
