The Border Security Force (BSF) was set up on December 1, 1965. BSF is a border protecting agency of the Indian Government and is a part of the paramilitary forces of India. The main function of BSF is to protect the international borders of our country at times of peace. It also the role of Border Security Force to guard the country against transnational crime.
Job Profile:
Border Security Force (BSF) invites application for the position of Head Constable.
No. of posts – 384 (Radio Operator - 377, Fitter -7)
Pay Scale – PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs. 2400
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 23 yrs.
Educational Qualification – The candidates must have Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized board or institution + 2 yrs ITI in Radio and TV or Electronics or 10 + 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. (For Radio Operator HC) and ITI in Engine fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Automatic or Motor Mechanic from any recognized institution or 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected for the post through written test, preliminary screening, physical efficiency test, dictation test, verification of original documents, and personal interview.

Application fees:
Indian Postal Order/Crossed bank draft for Rs. 50 (only for OBC candidates) must be drawn in favor of the DIG/Comdt or Inspector General payable at the appropriate State Bank of India/ Post office.
