SI (Technical) - Border Security Force (BSF)
The Border Security Force (BSF) was established in the year 1965. Shri K F Rustamji was the founder and first chief of the BSF. The primary role of the BSF is to provide security at the border of India and related matters. The headquarters of BSF is situated at Lodhi Road in New Delhi.
Job Profile:
Border Security Force (BSF) invites application from eligible male Indian citizens for the post of SI (Technical) in various disciplines for its Motor Transport Workshop Cadre.
No. of posts: 43 (Vehicle Mechanic -21, Store Keeper -11, Auto Technician -11)
Pay Scale – Rs. 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 20 yrs and the maximum age limit is 25 yrs (Relaxable as per rules)
Educational Qualification and Experience – The candidates must have done minimum 3 years’ Diploma in Auto Mobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Auto Electrical Engineering from a Government recognized institute.
Selection Process:
The candidates are selected for the post through Documentation Verification, Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Technical Aptitude and Trade Test (Written and Practical), Interview and Medical Examination. All the selection procedures will be conducted in one stretch.

Completely filled application form must be sent to the Inspector General of the relevant BSF Centre. Application Fee:
Postal Order or crossed bank draft of Rs. 50 (examination fee ) must be drawn in favor of DDo, payable at the respective place of BSF centre. There is no fee for SC/ ST candidates.
