How to prepare for All India Pre Medical Test?

The All India Pre Medical Test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. The test is conducted every year for candidate admission into BDS and MBBS courses. Presently, 15% of the total seats are filled through Pre Medical test.

Structure of the Exam

The All India Pre Medical Test is conducted at two stages i.e. preliminary exam and final exam. The preliminary exam consists of 200 multiple choice objective type questions. The questions are from physics, chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each subject carries 50 questions. The duration of the exam is three hours. The candidates who have cleared the preliminary exam can go to the next level. The next level of exam is Final exam. The final exam consists of two papers and each paper is objective type. The duration of the each paper is two hours. The first paper will have questions from physics and chemistry. The second paper will get questions from Botany and Zoology.

The candidate should prepare a study plan and follow it every day. They can write weekly tests to know their exam preparation level. Moreover, the candidate can set reminders when their tasks are completing. They should participate in all rank assessment tests to find out their preparation level. Moreover, they will get detailed report on their performance after each test.

Syllabus of the Exam

The All India Pre Medical test covers the syllabus of 12th standard. The candidate should study heat and thermo dynamics, Kirchhoff’s law, SHM and waves, Magnetic effect and Electromagnetic induction. The candidate should prepare well in the area of modern physics. There are some areas in Mechanics which are commonly asked like Concept of Impulse and centre of Mass and Momentum. The candidate should cover the various areas in chemistry too. Along with organic chemistry the candidate should also cover areas related to physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry. The candidate should study cell biology, economic zoology, plant and animal physiology. These biology chapters will assist you to solve tricky and simple questions.

While answering the exam, go for the direct questions. The candidate should focus on the questions which are directly based on the topic, first. They can study from NCERT guide and this book has lots of objective type questions. Moreover, this book consists of previous year questions.
