Gujarat University, M. Phil, Statistics Papers
Gujarat University offers the course of M. Phil to the aspirants and conducts exam on Statistics paper. There are three parts of the Statistics Papers namely Statistics I or Research Methodology, Statistics II or Theory of Distributions and Statistics III or Demography or Statistical Methods for Reliability and Life testing. In the last paper, the candidates are offered option to opt from any of the two. The first two papers are compulsory and the last paper is elective or optional. Each of the papers carries a maximum of one hundred marks.
There are questions in the papers that vary from Long answer type to short answer type to Essay type. In each of the paper, there are ten questions in total. Each of the questions carries two questions out of which candidates have to attempt any one. Basically there are five questions with two options, out of which candidates have to attempt any one. Each of the questions carries a maximum of twenty marks. Candidates can use scientific calculators or statistic tables. Candidates are advised to follow a large number of Mock based questions in order to establish high marks in the exam.
