Eligibility for admission:

For all the courses offered by Mangalayatan Institute of Engineering & Technology, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with PCSM/PCM combinations and should have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks. The qualifying mark is 45% for candidates falling under Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe category.

Department functioning in the institute:

Totally seven departments are functioning in the institute to offer technical education to the students and they are department of mathematics, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical & electronics engineering, computer science & information technology and department of electronics & communication engineering.

Laboratories functioning in the institute:

Each of the above-mentioned engineering departments has their own laboratory facilities to offer quality practical training to the students. Some of these departments are computer-networking lab, programming in ‘C’ lab, microwave engineering lab, electronics engineering lab, electrical utilization lab, electrical engineering lab and engineering graphics lab. An engineering workshop is also functioning in the institute for conducting different workshops for students belonging to different departments of engineering functioning in the institute.

Aim of the institute:

The main aim of Mangalayatan Institute of Engineering & Technology is to motivate student-centered learning rather than teacher-centric approach since the institute believes that the former approach will be more fruitful than the later approach.
