Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (BRAU) was set up in the year 2008 by the Andhra Pradesh State Government’s Higher Education Department. The University mainly aims to enhance the education facilities in the Srikakulam District of the Andhra Pradesh State. The University caters to the educational needs of the people of Srikakulam. At present, the university offers 12 P.G. courses including M. Phil. and Ph.D. The main vision of the university is to become a comprehensive University and to promote knowledge with diversity, self-esteem and equity.
