The University of Gujarat offers the course of MLW or Master or Labour Welfare.  There are more than ten papers in the course and the names of few of them are:

•    MLW-Industrial Relations & Personnel Management
•    MLW-IOF(Industrial Organisation & Finance)
•    MLW-Labour Economics & Statistics
•    MLW-Labour Legislation- I
•    MLW-Labour Legislation-II
•    MLW-Labour Movement
•    MLW-Labour Welfare
•    MLW-Social & Industrial Psychology

Each of the paper has a maximum of one hundred marks and has three hours duration. The paper contains a total of nine questions, out of which eight questions are offered in pairs. Candidates have to attempt any one of the question from within each of the four pairs. The last ninth question is a compulsory based question and is a short answer based question.

Each of the questions carries a maximum of twenty marks. However an important point to mention is that the first paper related to Industrial Relations and Personnel Managements has a different pattern, but has a maximum of 100 marks. It is divided into two sections, each carrying a maximum of fifty marks. The first section is called Industrial Relation and the second section is called the Personnel Management.
