Mamallan Institute of Technology is managed by Mamallan Educational Trust which is a registered charitable Trust maintained by Dr. Jeppiar. It was established in the year 2001 with the aim of imparting quality education to the rural mass of the society. The trust has started this institute to upgrade the knowledge of the students and update them with latest developments in technology. This institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The motto of this institute is to inspire excellence in engineering and technology through the process of quality education.

Admission:

The admission procedure is as per the guidelines of Anna University, Chennai and based on the merit list of the Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions Exam conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu. The candidates should not have completed 21 years of age as on July 1st on the year of applying in case they belong to open category. For reserved category candidates, the age should not be more than 24 years.

Facilities:

The college is situated in lush environment with huge infrastructure campus. The central library in the college stores over 7,000 volumes of books and journals with Open Access System. In addition to this, each department has a separate library and the management sees that the students need not spend money on buying books as they can retain the books till the completion of the course. The college has 200 computers all connected with high speed internet access which are free to access even after the working hours of the college. Hostel facilities with all basic amenities are available inside the campus itself. The college operates buses to all parts of the city and offers free transport for teaching and non teaching staff. In addition to the above, the college has a high capacity generator for supplying power in case of current failure.
