College of Engineering, Kallooppara is one of the premier institutions in South India offering professional education. This college was developed by the Institute of Human Resource Department, Kerala Government. This aided college is situated in the region of Sylvan hills in Kerala. From the day of its establishment this college has gained reputation by providing quality education in the field of engineering and technology. All the courses offered in this institute are affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

The vision of this institute is to empower the students with knowledge in all backgrounds and disciplines of engineering so as to expand their intellectual and personal growth. It aims in producing technically qualified human power to the society to meet the challenges.

Management:

The college is governed by the Educational Agency fully managed by the Government of Kerala. The chief secretary of the state and the principal secretary will be the vice chairman of the management. All the major activities of this college are fully controlled by the Ministry of Human Resource, Kerala Government.

Courses offered:

College of Engineering (CET) provides UG courses in the engineering discipline on the following three areas:-

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science

Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology

Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication

Out of the total sanctioned seats of 60, 30 seats are allotted for merit quota, 21 seats for management quota and the balance 9 seats for Non Resident Indians.

Admission:

Admission is based on the merit marks obtained in the Commissioner of Entrance Examination held by the Kerala Government. The management quota seats are also filled up by the list received from the CET. These seats (21) are allotted for high fees from the merit lists of the entrance exam. The remaining seats (9) are selected through advertisement in newspaper. If the NRI’s are not opting for the seat, then the seat will be allotted to other deserved candidates from India.
