S.A. Engineering College was established in 1988 by the Dharma Naidu Educational and Charitable Trust in Chennai. All the courses have been approved by the norms of AICTE and the college is affiliated with University of Madras.

The college has an extensive campus of 42 acres and has around 3 lakh square feet of built in area to enclose class rooms, labs, library and other facilities. The college has won the accreditation of NBA.

Library:

The library meant for UG course has a collection of over 32,000 volumes of books, apart from CD’s, and journals. It also maintains individual sections for reference books meant for PG students. In addition, it also maintains digital resources from ASME, DELL, and IEEE online for the benefit of the students.

The library meant for PG students holds around 5400 books apart from journals of national and international origin.

Placement:

The college provides ample opportunities for the students to be placed in leading organizations in Chennai city which conducts campus interviews. Placement history of the past three years is available in the college web site.

Admission:

The eligibility of all the UG courses in engineering discipline is a pass in higher secondary exam from a recognized board of education. The candidates should have obtained 55% marks in the main subjects of study at 10 +2 level. Lateral scheme of entry is available directly to II year of engineering and the candidates should have passed diploma course in the discipline of study with 55% marks in the final semester.

Admission process is done on the basis of marks obtained in the previous academics and on the merit list allotted by the counseling process of the Anna University, Chennai.
