Lower Division Clerk, Junior Accountant, Sports Authority of India
The Sports Authority of India was actually established in the year 1982 under Government of India. The authority came into existence as a successor organization of the IXth Asian Games held in New Delhi. The idea behind the establishment of the authority was to provide a helping hand in the promotion of Sports and Games of the Department of Sports. The authory also had the hold the responsibility of maintaining the Stadiums located in Delhi for the IX Asian Games held in New Delhi in 1982. Later on, the authority garnered the status of being a Deemed University in the year 1995.
Job Profile:
Sports Authority of India invites applications from eligible indian nationals for filling up the vacancies for the positions of Lower Division Clerk and Junior Accountant in its head office located at New delhi and various Regional centres and Training centres spread all over India.
Eligibility:
For both the specified posts of Lower Division Clerk and Junior Accountant in Sports Authority of India, candidates must have age in between 18 to 27 years. Candiates having age less than 18 years and age more than the prescribed age limit i.e. 27 years will not be considered eligible for applying on the respective posts in Sports Authority of India. Reserved categories candidates will get relaxation of few years in age as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
For the post of Lower Division Clerk: 12th class pass or equivalent from any recognized board is required. Candidates should also have to pass typewriting test in English with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute or in Hindi with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer.
For the post of Junior Accountant: Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized university is required. Candidates should also have a good knowledge of computer applications.

Lower Division Clerk: 29 posts.
(Gen-13, SC-2, ST-7 and OBC-7)
Junior Accountant: 45 posts.
(Gen-21, SC-5, ST-7 and OBC-12)
Pay Scale:
Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 witha Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.
Junior Accountant: Rs. 5200-20200 witha Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
Application Fee:
Candidates will have to submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500. However, no fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman or Women candidates. The application fee must be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of SECRETARY, SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA payable at New Delhi. In case, candidates wants to apply for both the posts, then he/she should pay seperate fee for each post applied.
Selection Committee:
Eligible candidates will have to undergo a written examination. The syllabus for both the posts includes General Knowledge, General English, Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. There will be no interview for the post of Junior Accountant and Lower Division Clerk. The written examination will be conducted at different states of India.
How to apply: Candidates should submit their application in the prescribed format only. Application must be either hand written in bold capitals or type written on A4 size paper only. Candidates can also download the application form from the website of SAI. Application form alongwith the required enclosures should be sent (by ordinary post only) in a closed cover with a superscription “Application for the post of ____________”.
