Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT) was established in the year 1998. This is a famous engineering college of Uttarakhand.

The institute is associated to Uttarakahand Technical University, Dehradun and U.P Technical University, Lucknow. It is permitted by All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

The undergraduate programmes available in the college are B. Tech, B. Arch and B. Pharm. The B. Tech course is available in the disciplines of Applied Electronics & Instr. Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

The post graduate programmes available in the college are M. Tech, MBA and MCA degrees. M. Tech course is available in the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering, Digital Communication and Thermal Science & Energy Sys. Engineering.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 / Intermediate/ Equivalent (with Physics and Maths) with at least 50% marks are eligible for the getting admission in the undergraduate courses. The candidates must get qualified in the Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) in order to get admission for the undergraduate courses in the college. Engineering diploma candidates can get the admission through Lateral Entry.

Candidates who have passed BE / B Tech with minimum 55% marks are eligible to get admission for the M. Tech course. The candidates must get valid score in the GATE exam in order to get admission for the M. Tech course. Candidates who have successfully passed their undergraduate examination must get a valid score in Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Test (UAJET) in order to get admission for MBA or MCA course.
