Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University came into existence in the year 1960 in the name of Bhagalpur University and it got its present name in the year 1991. The university is offering education in the faculties of education, law, medical sciences, engineering, commerce, science, social sciences and humanities through 36 departments functioning in its campus.
The university is not only offering education through its departments, but is also offering education through its 29 constituent colleges and 24 affiliated colleges working under its jurisdiction.
