ICWAI has introduced a Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) Course. This course is for 12th passed students. The duration of this course is one year. It comprises of two parts- Foundation Course (Entry Level) and Competency Level. Economics and business fundamental paper is one of main paper for entry level foundation course. Entry level exam is compulsory to go for competency level.  This paper and course will be in English and Hindi language.

Paper pattern and no. of questions asked:

The paper carries a total of 8 questions. Section 1 consists of four questions in which students have to answer question no. 1 which is compulsory and any two from the rest. Section 2 also consists of 4 questions in which again question no. 5 is compulsory and any two from the rest. The compulsory question of sections 1 has sub parts which contain questions like choose the correct option, true or false, fill in the blanks etc. same pattern is for question no. 5 also. Rest of the paper contains some long and some short answer questions.

Division of marks:

The whole paper is of one hundred marks. The first section consists of 60 marks with compulsory question of 36 marks and rest two questions of 12 marks each. The second section consists of 40 marks with compulsory question containing 24 marks and rest two questions of 8 marks each.

Total time duration:

The total time duration to finish this paper is 3 hours.
