With the University having an efficient and highly qualified vice chancellor as Anvar Jahan Zuberi, it has seen a meteoric rise in its development in terms of standard of question, followed by the pattern. Engineering being one of the important areas of education has been given very much importance and the standard of education has risen even higher for engineering with the continuous and tedious efforts from the working staffs and the teaching staffs.

Calicut University has many engineering disciplines to offer to the meritorious students. Computer Science and Engineering is very much popular amongst the students because of the amazing demands for the Software Engineers in the IT Sector. The course is of 4 years which is divided into 8 Semesters and in their 6th Sem the students have to study Engineering Economics and Principles of Management Paper.

Division or Section in the paper:

The paper carries a total of five parts, and the last four parts have question, which appear from Module I, II, III and IV respectively.

Pattern of the paper:

The paper carries a total of five parts. The first part has a maximum of eight short answer based questions, all of which are compulsory to attempt. The second part carries two main questions from Module I, and candidates have to answer ant one. The remaining three parts, also follows the same pattern, but the choices offered to the candidates in the second part are from Module I, in the third part from the Module II, in the fourth part from the Module III and in the fifth part from the Module IV.

Markings evaluated by the University:

The total mark offered is one hundred. The first main question carries a total of forty marks, with each of the sub-question carrying five marks. The remaining four main questions, offered with Internal Options carries fifteen marks.

Time allotted for examination:

The total time allotted is three hours.
