The topics that are to be discussed in this paper are Maxwell reciprocal theorem, virtual work, volumetric strain, degree of static indeterminacy of a structure, Engesser’s theorem, principal stresses and principal directions, etc.
Division of paper:
The question paper is divided into two parts. The first part contains short answer type questions whereas the second part contains long answer type.
Time and marks allotted:
The total time allocated to the students to solve this paper is of three hours and the total marks that can be awarded in this paper are 100.
Paper Pattern:
The question paper is printed in English language. There are total 5 questions in this question paper. The question paper is divided into two parts. In the first part, there is only one question which is divided into 8 parts. All the parts of this question are short answer type. Each question of this part contains 5 marks. In the second part, there are 4 questions carrying 15 marks each. All the questions are compulsory. However, there are two options in each question of which only one is to be attempted correctly.
