Agricultural College, Bapatla
Agricultural College, Bapatla came into existence in the year 1945 and it is a constituent unit of the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. The college was established on the basis of the recommendations of the Post War Reconstruction Committee and it is the oldest college among the 12 constituent units of the ANGRAU.
The college was established with the objective of offering agricultural education at the UG level and to encourage agricultural graduates to introduce several post war reconstruction schemes.

Admission Procedure:
For UG course offered by Agricultural College, Bapatla, admission of students is made based on their performance in the state level common entrance test called as EAMCET, which is conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. For Pg Admission, the marks secured by the students in the entrance test conducted separately for agriculture and the previous educational records of the students are taken into consideration.
How to apply to the college:
Once the result of the entrance examination is published, the college shall invite applications from eligible candidates by notifying through leading newspapers, wherein the website of the university from which the application can be downloaded will be provided. Candidates will have to submit the duly filled in application form to the Registrar of the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University before the last date specified in the notification.
Development of the college:
Initially, Agricultural College, Bapatla was affiliated to the Andhra University and later it was brought under the administrative control of the Directorate of Agriculture of the state of Madras. After the establishment of Andhra Pradesh University in the year 1964, the college expanded physically and educationally with the introduction of PG and doctoral courses. With a view to improve the educational status of the agricultural education, several infrastructural facilities were added in terms of equipment and buildings. The college celebrated its diamond jubilee recently in the year 2006.
Location of the College:
Agricultural College is situated at a distance of about five kms from the railway station of Bapatla, which comes in the Chennai-Vijayawada rail route. The college lies in the Guntur District of the state of Andhra Pradesh and on the East Coast of India.
