The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology – Joint Entrance Exam is carried out by the National Council for Hotel Management for the admittance of eligible students into the graduate level programs in Hospitality & Hotel Administration. Qualifying Examinations for NCHMCT JEE Entrance Exam

The minimum requirement for appearing the NCHMCT is a pass in standard 12. Students also must have good marks in English (above 55 percent).

Age Qualification for NCHMCT JEE Entrance Exam

The maximum age limit for aspirants of the General, PH and OBC categories is 22 years. In case of students who belong to the SC/ST categories, their maximum age limit is 25.

Who can apply for NCHMCT JEE Entrance Exam?

The minimum qualification needed by one to appear for the NCHMET JEE is a pass in class 10+2.  Those who are going to appear for the class 12 finals are also eligible to appear for the JEE.

Exam pattern of the NCHMET JEE exam

The total marks carried by this paper are 200 marks. The duration of the examination is 3 hours. The subject and mark distribution is given below.

  • Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude – 30 marks
  • Reasoning and Logical Deduction - 30 marks
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs - 30 marks
  • English Language - 80 marks
  • Aptitude for Service Sector – 30 marks

Submission of the application form:

Aspirants can submit their form online with the help of a credit card. It is absolutely necessary for all applicants to exercise care when filling the form. Once the form is filled, aspirants need to click the ‘proceed next’ button. Here, the information entered by the aspirants shall be displayed. In case aspirants need to make any changes in the existing information, they can select the ‘back to edit application form’ option. If there is no change to be done, aspirants can choose the pay now button. All aspirants are recommended to recheck prior to the form submission as no editing will be possible after the submission of the form.

Once the form submission has been done, an application number that has been generated automatically will be allotted to the aspirants. They can take a print out of the same. Once the print out is taken, applicants are to affix their recent photographs as well as their signatures in the provided space. This form is then to be sent to the official address of the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).

Reservation for NCHMCT JEE Entrance Exam

The reservation for the NCHMCT JEE is done as per as the policies of the Indian government. SC aspirants will get a reservation of 15%; ST aspirants shall get a reservation of 7.5%; OBC aspirants shall get 27% and PH aspirants shall get 3%. In every IHM, one seat shall be set aside for Registered Kashmiri migrants.
