Paper of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontic-Applied Basic Sciences paper is a conceptual paper, candidates appearing in this paper should have good knowledge of it. Total number of questions in this paper are 5, 1st question is of objective type and contains 20 questions in it whereas next 4 questions are of long answer type question; last question is of short notes. The questions are further divided into sub-parts for the ease of students. Candidates appearing in this paper have to attempt all the questions as there are no alternative.

The paper of Applied Basic Sciences is subjective as well as objective. Candidates appearing for the paper should have to answer the objective section in one word. In the subjective part, questions on different topics from the syllabus such as Root canal, Endodontic therapy, Journal of Endodontics, Oral surgery, Dental dam etc. are asked every year. The paper also contains questions on different teeth problems and there cure, questions are asked on different diagram related problems also.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Total marks which can be awarded in this paper are 100 and maximum time allotted for this paper is 3 hours. The objective section of this paper is of 20 marks and has to be submitted in 20 minutes whereas subjective section is of 2 hours and 40 minutes and 80 marks.
