Recruitment by BHEL:

BHEL has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Supervisor Trainee for its engineering discipline and the details regarding the notification issued by the company are given below:

Name of the Position: Supervisor Trainee (Engineering)

Number of Posts: Total number of vacancies is 1000, which is divided among the different engineering divisions of BHEL as follows:

• Mechanical – 740

• Electrical – 160

• Electronics – 60

• Civil - 40

Out of the 1000 posts, 250 vacancies are reserved for dependents of deceased employees of BHEL.

Period of training: Candidates selected for the position of Supervisor Trainee (Engineering) will have to undergo training for a period of one year

Pay Scale: During the training period of one year, candidates will be offered with a basic pay of Rs.12300 in the pay scale of Rs.12300-26000. Candidates successfully getting through the training period, will be absorbed as Assistant Engineer Grade II in the pay scale of Rs.12400-30500

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Candidates must be full-time diploma holders in civil/electronics/electrical/mechanical engineering from a recognized institution/university. The minimum mark requirement in the diploma course is 65% or its equivalent CGPA, the minimum qualifying percentage in the case of reserved category candidates is 60%.

Age Requirement: The upper age limit is 27 years (i.e.) candidates, who have born before 1st of August 1984 are not eligible to apply. Experience candidates are offered with certain age relaxation. For details candidates can visit the website of BHEL.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidate will be based on their performance in the written test and personal interview. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements, will be called for written test, which is tentatively fixed on the 25th of September 2011. The test will be conducted at different centres and for details candidates can visit the notification page at http://careers.bhel.in/strlive/static/st_advt_eng.pdf

Application Fee:

Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.300 in any branches of SBI to the account No. 31325460299 with the help of challan that can be downloaded from the website of BHEL at http://careers.bhel.in. Once the fee is paid, the bank will allot a journal number, which should be filled on online application.

How to apply:

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements will have to apply online through the website of BHEL at http://careers.bhel.in  between 1st August and 20th August. After applying online, candidates will be allotted an acknowledgement slip. This acknowledgement slip along with BHEL copy of challan for payment of fee should be sent before 24th of August (31st August for candidates belonging to far-flung areas to the address given below:
