Company profile: CDIR, Lucknow is a premier institute involved in R&D. It is engaged in the production of new drugs and diagnostics in areas like gastric ulcer, osteoporosis, hypertension, cancer etc. It is also involved in the development of human resources for future requirements of the pharmaceutical sector.
Job profile: The scientist will be required to carry the research work in different areas like cells, tissues, veterinary, nuclei, drugs etc. They will also be responsible for developing new research programs.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years for the post of scientist Gr IV (1) and Gr IV (2) and 40 years for the post of scientist Gr IV (3). However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class M.Sc in microbiology/life sciences/chemical science/biochemistry/biotechnology OR M.Pharma OR MVSc in veterinary/microbiology/virology OR PhD in above areas. A candidate must have a relevant experience in addition to the above qualifications.
No. of posts: There are 35 posts in total which includes 6 posts for Gr IV (1), 14 for Gr IV (2) and 15 for GR IV (3).
Pay scale: For scientist Gr IV (1) – Rs15600-39100 + a grade pay of Rs5400, For Gr IV (2) – Rs15600-39100 + a grade pay of Rs6600 and for Gr IV (3) – Rs15600-39100 + a grade pay of Rs7600.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be called for an interview in front of a board of members. The selections will be made on the basis of merit.
How to apply: The candidates have to fill an application form given in the advertisement posted on the website. He candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs100 in the form a DD drawn in the favor of The Director, Central Drug Research Institute which should be payable at Lucknow. The candidates are required to write the post code on the top of the envelope. All the applications must be sent by post to The Section Officer (Recruitment), Central Drug Research Institute, Chattar Manzil Palace, Post Box No.173, Lucknkow-226001 (U.P.) along with a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelope of size 23×10cm
