The M.A. in Translation Studies is a good course for those who are fond of different languages and cultures. They can work as an interpreter in any private or government firms. In present days of globalization, it is in a huge demand in various countries.

Paper Pattern:

Questions in the paper are of subjective type. The paper is based on the syllabus of 1st year M.A. in translation studies. The paper contains 13 questions which are further divided into two sections; section A is of 8 questions and 5 from it should be attempted. Section B is of 5 questions and 3 from it has to be attempted. Each question of both sections is of equal marks. Section A has long answer type questions and Section B has very long answer type questions.

Questions in the paper are of subjective type and every question is of descriptive type. Questions asked are such as definitions of Phonetics and Phonology, neat sketch of speech organs, complementation, place of articulation, classification of speech sounds, phonotatics, phonemic overlapping etc. Paper Contains only long answer type questions. Questions should be answered accurately and stress should be given to the language of the answer.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks in the paper are 100 and time allotted is 3 hours only. Questions of Section A are of 8 marks each and 5 questions are to be solved in this section. Section B contains each question of 20 marks and 3 such questions are there.
