In translation studies, anyone gets to learn languages, their accents, different language of their interest; they can get a job as an interpreter. In present scenario, this profession will be in a huge demand as the globalization will bring people of different languages together.

Paper Pattern:

Questions in the paper are of subjective type. Total questions in the paper are 13. Questions in the paper are divided into 2 sections, Section A contains 8 questions and 5 from it are needed to be solved whereas Section B contains 5 questions and 3 from it are to be solved. Section A is of short answer type questions and Section B is of long answer type questions. The paper contains theoretical questions and all questions are asked in a straight way. All questions in Section A are of equal marks and all questions of Section B is of equal marks.

Questions in the paper are of subjective type; questions asked arte such as Morphological techniques, Exocentric vs. Endocentric constructions, external vs. internal sandhi, transitive vs. intransitive, derivation vs. inflection, stem vs. root etc. In long answer type questions, three methods of grammatical description, intermediate constituent analysis etc. is asked every year. All questions in the paper are of theoretical type and required a good knowledge in the paper.

Total marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be awarded in this paper are 100 and time allotted is 3 hours only. Section A is of 40 marks and Section b is of 60 marks. In Section A, each question is of 8 marks and in Section B; each question is of 20 marks.
