Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology (SLIET) is a premier institute in India offering technical education to the aspirants. This institute offers many post graduate technical programmes for the students. SET VII entrance test is conducted each year for the selection of the candidates for the admission to the MSc programmes offered by the institute. This institute is functioning under the Human Resources and Development Department. Due to the best facilities and standard of education provided by this institute attract a large number of candidates from all parts of the country applying for the test. Structure of SET VII

The selection of the candidates for the Master of Science Courses offered by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology (SLIET) is mainly through the SET VII entrance test. The entrance test consists of 100 multiple choice questions carries 100 marks. The time duration of the exam will be of two hours. The test is conducted n\mainly to evaluate the candidates’ basic knowledge in the specialized subjects. The questions are from the related subjects. The candidates have to answer all the questions. There is no any mark awarded for the wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have a Bachelors Degree in the appropriate subjects with 50% marks can apply for the test. The SC/St candidates required only 45% marks for applying the test. The Candidates should need a Bachelors Degree in Physics for applying MSc Physics, Bachelors Degree in Chemistry for applying MSc Chemistry and need a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics for applying for MSc mathematics course.

How to Apply?

The application form and information booklet for SLIET SET VII test will be available from the exam counter of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology (SLIET). The candidates can purchase the form from the institute by the cash payment of Rs.600/- for the general candidates and Rs.300/- for the SC/ST candidates. By sending a demand draft and a request letter the candidates can obtain the form by post. The demand draft should be taken from Central Bank Of India/State Bank of India/ Oriental Bank of Commerce/Punjab National Bank/ICICI Bank. The form can also be downloaded from the SLIET official website www.sliet.ac.in

How to fill the Form?

All the instructions for filling the form should be provided with the information booklet. The candidates have to follow all the instructions. The application form must be in OMR Sheet. The application form will not be damaged. No any documents should be enclosed with the application form. The photograph of the candidates pasted in the form should be of the prescribed size. All the data entered in the form must be correct. The signature of the candidate must be put with a black pen and it must be clear. All the details of the fee payment should be mentioned in the application form. The application form should be sent only through Registered post or speed post.

Score Validity

The score of the entrance exam is valid only for the admission period of the present academic year.
