Ch. Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College came into existence from the academic year 2007-08 and it was established by the Department of Training and technical Examination of Government of Delhi with the objective of promotion and establishment of centre of excellence in engineering education.

GBPEC has invited eligible candidates to walk-in-interview for appointment of candidates on contract basis for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor for technical and non-technical disciplines and the details regarding the notification issued by the college in this regard are given below:

Name of the positions: Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 42 and this number is divided as follows among the aforesaid positions:

Professor - 05

Associate Professor - 13

Assistant Professor - 24

Pay scale: Pay scales for the positions are:

Professor - Consolidated pay of Rs.71574/- per month

Associate Professor – Consolidated pay of Rs.70064/- per month

Assistant Professor – Consolidated pay of Rs.32616/- per month

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification: The educational qualification requirement depends on whether the candidates wished to attend the interview for technical or non-technical positions. Technical teaching positions include computer engineering, information technology engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics & communication engineering, environmental engineering and civil engineering. Non-technical departments include teaching positions for English/communication skills, economics, applied mathematics, applied physics, environmental sciences/applied chemistry. Age: Age requirement for each position is given below:

Assistant Professor – maximum 35 years

Associate Professor – maximum 50 years

Professor - maximum 50 years

The upper age limits are relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved category.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will have to appear before the selection committee on the date of interview to be held on 24th and 25th of September 2011 between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm. Candidates will be selected based on academic record, interview performance and based on domain knowledge and teaching skills. Interview will be conducted at the address given below:
