Karnatak University has a rural campus spreaded in an area of 750 acres located at Dharwad. The university is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university was established in the year 1949 but its has its official inauguration in the year 1950 only. initially, the university was established at Mumbai. The university is considered as the second oldest university present in the satte of Karnataka, after University of Mysore. Dr. H. B. Walikar is the present Vice Chancellor of the university. There are total 48 Post Graduate departments in the university.

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified Indian Citizens for filling up the positions of Junior Research Fellow in Karnatak University. The location of the posting is Dharwad region of Karnataka. Eligibility:
Candidates must have age within the prescribed age limit set for the position of Junior Research Fellow in Karnatak University (Dharwad). Candidates with age more than the prescribed maximum age limit, will not be considered eligible under any circumstances. There may be some years of relaxation in the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/PH etc. Candidates will be provided the age relaxation as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc. in the respective subjects or departments of life science with aggregate 555 marks from a recognized university is the minimu educational qualification required. Candidates must have done M.Sc. in either Biotechnology or Microbiology or Biochemistry or Zoology field. Candidates with few years of reseacrh experience in the above mentioned areas and candidates who are pursuing Ph.D. degree in Karnatak University, will get preference over others.
No. of posts: Total 12 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month. However, candidates with NET/GATE qualification and project fellows will be paid as per the DBT norms.

Selection Process:
Selection process is comprises of a Walk-In-Interview only. The Walk-In-Interview will be held on a specified date with the selection committee. Therefore, candidates are advised to prepare well for the interview test with the selection committee as only their good performance in the test can ensure their selection in Karnatak University (Dharwad).
