GTB Hospital was started in the year 1979 and since then it has achieved growth consistently. It is a 1000 bed hospital today. It has a very good reputation for its medical care and treatment provided. It has excellent health care facilities, faculty and infrastructure.
Job profile: The residents will be responsible for taking care of the patients and treat them. They will also be responsible for preparing medical reports and assist their seniors. They will be learning a lot of things during this period.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years for senior residents and 30 years for junior residents. However, relaxation can be claimed.
Educational Qualifications: For senior residents – A candidate must have a post graduate degree in the concerned specialty and PG should not be before 1st January 2007. For junior residents – A candidate must have a degree of MBBS/BDS from a recognized university and must have completed their internship.
No. of posts: There are 256 posts in total. There are 109 posts for senior residents that include 31 for UR, 14 for SC, 13 for ST and 51 for OBC. There are 147 posts for junior residents that include 74 for UR, 15 for SC, 18 for ST and 40 for OBC.
Pay scale: The pay scale for the residents is Rs15600-39100 plus other allowances.
Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo an interview. The selections will be based on the credentials of the candidates.
How to apply: The candidates have to apply as per the format given on the website. The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs500 in the form of a DD drawn in the favor of Medical Superintendent, GTB Hospital payable at Delhi. The applications accompanied with the copies of the documents must be sent to Medical Superintendent, GTB Hospital, Shahdara, Delhi - 110095
The last date of receipt of applications is 4th September 2009.
Date of interview: The interview will be held between 7th and 10th September 2009 for senior residents and on 11th & on 14th September 2009.
