Accountant cum IT Expert - Information Kerala Mission
Information Kerala Mission shortly called as IKM was formed in the year 1999 by the Government of Kerala. It is a flagship of the e-governance project of Kerala Government and its main aim is to bring e-governance in local government system in the state. The mission tries to offer a convenient and easy communication between the local bodies and state planning board of the state of Kerala.
Recruitment by IKM:
IKM has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Accountant Cum IT Expert for the implementation of the Project called Kerala Local Government Service Delivery Project. Here are the details regarding the notification issued by the mission in this regard:
Name of the Vacancy: Accountant-cum-IT Expert
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 152 and this is divided among the different districts of Kerala where vacancies exist are given below:
• Kasaragod – 06
• Kannur – 11
• Wayanad – 04
• Kozhikode – 12
• Malapurram – 15
• Palakkad – 13
• Thrissur – 16
• Ernakulam – 14
• Idukki- 08
• Kottayam – 11
• Alappuzha – 12
• Pathanamthitta – 08
• Kollam – 11
• Thiruvananthapuram - 11
Period of Placement: Initially, the placement will be for one year, which might be extended based on the performance.
Pay: Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs.15000 per month
Eligibility requirements:
Educational qualification: To apply to the position of Accountant-cum-IT Expert, candidates must have completed their B. Com with not less than 50% of marks through regular course with DCA/PGDCA/one year certificate course approved by the government. Candidates, who have passed CA inter will be given preference.
Age: The upper age limit is 35 years as on 1st of January 2011. There will be upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through written test and interview. The written test will be conducted for 150 marks and it will questions from general knowledge, computer and accountancy. Interview will be conducted for 50 marks and written test will be conducted for two hours duration.
How to apply:
Application should be made online through http://www.infokerala.org/accountant-cum-it-expert-implementation-project-klgsdp by clicking on the link called ‘Apply Online’ and candidates must upload their photograph with application. No certificate should be attached and when applying online, candidates should clearly specify the district for which they are applying and chosen district cannot be modified later.
