Intake capacity:
The total number of seats available in medical colleges approved by the Medical Council of India for Diploma in Psychological Medicine course is 125, which includes seats in both government and private colleges. For government medical colleges alone, 73 seats are available for the course, while the remaining seats are private college seats. Therefore, candidates wishing for PG medical course at an affordable cost, can compete for these 73 seats by securing good marks in the entrance examination and they can confidently try for the entrance examination if they have good score at their MBBS course.

• Psychological Basis of Human Behavior (inclusive of biostatistics, psychometry, social psychology, abnormal psychology and general psychology)

• Social and abnormal psychology

Eligibility requirement:
For seeking admission to the Diploma in Psychological Medicine, candidates must have completed their MBBS from a recognized institution with MCI approval and they should also have completed their internship programme.
Admission Procedure:
Admission is done based on the merit secured by the students in the PG Medical Entrance examination either at national level or at state level.
