It is better to learn that language of your interest when you are doing your degree or higher secondary course. once you have decided the language, it is better to explore, whether any of the institutions in your area offer courses on the language. Once you have decided a particular language, the second step would be go for higher education in that language  called as language course. Translators are being hired by Multinational companies, travel agencies, hotels, etc….and depending upon the aptitude, candidates should chose the perfectly suitable areas in which they can specialize. For instance, if a person is a technology freak, he can look for jobs in software companies as technical translator.

Government jobs in the field of translation:

Most of the Government Ministries in India look for junior and senior translators and the opportunities are endless in government organizations. When it comes to government jobs, candidates with computer skills along with translation skills can gain more weightage as compared to candidates without computer knowledge. This is because most of the government document are computerized these days with the increasing use of computers in Government organizations.
