Directorate of School Education was established under the Government of India. The directorate is located at Siksha Sadan, Panchkula. Mr. Ashwani Kumar is the Additional Director of the Directorate of School Education. The department actually came into existence under Right to Information Act and The Hr. School Edu. Act, 1995 of Parliament of India. The Department of School Education has started a distance education programme through satellite named EDUSAT. This distance education programme is been started by the department in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation and Bharat Electronics Limited.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible andqualified candidates for filling up the vacant posts of Special Educator in Department of School Education (Haryana). Candidates will be recruited purely on contract basis only. This is a special recruitment drive for Mentally Challenged, Visually Challenged and Hearing Impaired candidates. Candidates must fulfill all the eligibility conditions set for the post before applying for it.

1. Recruitment of Special Educator (Mentally Challenged):

3. Recruitment of Special Educator (Hearing Impaired):

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Special Educator is 17 years.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Special Educator is 40 years.

Candidates are required to have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit but less than the prescribed maximum age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have done Graduation with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and B.Ed. degree in Special Education or General alongwith two years Diploma in Special Education from a recognized institute or university. Candidates with Post Graduate degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and Diploma in Special Education from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the post of Special Educator. Knowledge of Computers is desirabel for the post.

Pay Scale: Candidates (B.Ed. in Special Education or equivalent) will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 18000 per month. Candidates possing Diploma in Special Education will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 15000 per month.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be through the conduct of a selection process which is comprises of a Competitive Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview Test. Candidates are required to appeear and qualify in both the stages of the selection process for getting selected on the post of Special Educator in Department of School Education (Haryana).
