Physics is one of the most chosen subjects for higher education, that’s why it is included in BE syllabus in 2nd semester. Physics is very good option to do higher study as there is so much area to explore in the area. One of the most advanced fields is astronomy.

Importance of the paper:

This is a compulsory paper included in the syllabus; paper is the overall knowledge of senior secondary level. It is a compulsory paper for every department. Today’s world of exploration and research is totally based on the subject.

Paper Pattern:

Paper of Physics II contains 23 questions in it; these questions are divided into 3 sections. Section A is of 12 multiple choices type questions from which 10 are to be attempted, Section B is of 7 long answer type questions from which 4 are to be solved and section C is of 4 questions from which 2 are to be attempted. Each question in each section is of equal marks.

Questions asked are such as electric flux, electric dipoles, definition of coefficient of reflection, coefficient of transmission, difference between centrifugal and centripetal force, Relation between linear velocity and angular velocity of a particle in UCM, Assumptions of kinetic theory of gases, S.H.M, perfectly black body coefficient of absorption etc., Electromagnetic induction, Hooke’s Law Expression for strain energy, forbidden energy gap, Expression for the period of SHM etc.

Marks and time:

Total marks to be scored in the paper are 100 and time given to solve the paper is 3 hours only.
