Abbreviated as APTRANSCO, Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh came into existence in the year 1999 due to the restructuring of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board for taking care of the electricity transmission work in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Transmissions Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Engineer in the branch of Telecom Engineering and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the corporation in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Assistant Engineer (Telecom)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 25, which is divided among the different districts of the state of AP as follows:

Visakapatnam – 02

Vijayawada – 03

Kadapa – 09

Hyderabad Metro – 04

Hyderabad Rural – 04

Warangal - 03

Training & Probation: The period of training and probation will be for two years

Remuneration: Candidates appointed for the position of Assistant Engineer (Telecom) will be coming under the pay of Rs. 23115-955-25025-1115-30600-1280-35720.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: To be eligible for applying to the post of Assistant Engineer (Telecom), candidates must possess B.E/B. Tech/AMIE in Telecommunication/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or its equivalent qualification in equivalent discipline from a recognized university in India.

Age: Candidates should not be more than 34 years of age as on the 1st of July 2011 and upper age limit is relaxable by five years with respect to BC/ST/SC candidates and up to 10 years for PH candidates.

Selection procedure:

Selection will be purely based on the merit secured by the candidates in the written test and candidates qualifying in the written test with good ranks will be called for verification of original certificates community wise on 1:1 ratio. The minimum qualifying marks in the written test is 30% for SC/ST, 35% for BC and 40% for OC candidates. Written test is planned to be held of 29th of January 2012 between 10am and 12 noon.

Fee:

All applicants will have to pay an application processing fee of Rs.150 and candidates belonging to general category will have to pay Rs.350 towards Examination fee other candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee. Fee will have to paid through AP online centres from 22nd of December 2011 to 17th of January 2012.

How to apply:

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will have to apply online through the website of APTRANSCO at http://aptransco.cgg.gov.in/ between 22nd of December 2011 and 18th of January.
