Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was established by the Central Government under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The major objective behind the establishement of the corporation was to protect the interest of workers in problems like Sickeness, Maternity etc that results in the loss of wages or earning capacity of the workers. The major function performed by ESIC is to administer the scheme. The prescribed scheme was actually implemented in the year 1952 at Kanpur and Delhi.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant positions of Upper Division Clerk and Multitasking Staff. Interested candidates are required to ensure their eligibility for the desired position, before applying for it in the company.

Eligibility:

For the post of Upper Division Clerk:

The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 31 January 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years as on 31 January 2012.

For the post of Multitasking Staff:

The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 31 January 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 25 years as on 31 January 2012.

Those candidates, who belongs to reserved categories candidates (Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ PH etc) may get relaxation of few years in the prescribed maximum age limit. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Upper Division Clerk: Degree in any disciplines from a recognized university or equivalent, is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates. Besides this, candidates are also required to have working knowledge of computers.

Multitasking Staff: The minimum educational qualification qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for this post is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.

Pay Scale:

Upper Divison Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
Multitasking Staff: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1800.

Application Fee:

The amount of application fee is need to be paid through the means of a Demand Draft only. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of MTS Examination, ESIC, Tamil Nadu payable at Chennai. Only General and OBC candidates are required to submit the prescribed amount of application fee as SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Serviceman/Female candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee.

Application fee for the post of Upper Division Clerk: Rs. 225 only.
Application fee for the post of Multitasking Staff: Rs. 125 only.
