Profile:
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was established by the Central Government under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The major objective behind the establishement of the corporation was to protect the interest of workers in problems like Sickeness, Maternity etc that results in the loss of wages or earning capacity of the workers. The major function performed by ESIC is to administer the scheme. The prescribed scheme was actually implemented in the year 1952 at Kanpur and Delhi.
Job Profile:
Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Lower Division Clerk and Stenographer in west bengal region of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.
Eligibility:
Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age as on 18 October 2010.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to be atleast 12th passed for applying for both the posts in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.
No. of posts:
Lower Division Clerk: Total 89 posts are available. (Gen-52, OBC-29, SC-4 and ST-4)
Stenographer: Only 9 posts are available. (Gen-5, OBC-1 and SC-3)
Pay Scale:
Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 1900
Stenographer: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
Selection Process:
A written examination followed by a personal interview test are the selection criteria set for the above specified posts in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.
