Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University which was established in the year 1994 is one of the youngest and eminent Universities in the state of Maharashtra. The university offers about 27 postgraduate courses in various fields such as Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Business Administration, Education, and Pharmacy. The university also offers eight M.Phil courses. In addition to these, it also offers the aspirants with PhD courses; the admittance to which is on the basis of candidates’ performance in the University conducted PhD entrance test (PET).

Structure of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Ph.D Entrance Test

The Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University PhD Entrance Test (PET) will be of 100 marks comprising of three sections. Section A will be common for all subject candidates. This section will consist of 40 Multiple Choice Questions each carrying 1 mark. This section has to be answered within 45 minutes duration. Section B will have 30 Multiple Choice Questions on the concerned subject which has to be answered within 30 minutes. Each question from this section also carries 1 mark each. Section C will have descriptive type questions based on the basic subject. There will be 5 questions in this section, out of which only 2 has to be answered with in 60 minutes duration. Each question in this section carries 15 marks.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have completed their PG programme from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates) are eligible for the Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University PhD Entrance Test. Those in the final year of master’s degree course are also eligible for the same however their admission shall be confirmed subject to the condition of fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

University, Nanded by cash payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 750/- for reserved category candidates).
