YMCA University of Science and Technology was previously called as YMCA Institute of Engineering and the institute came into existence in the year 1969 as state university in the state of Haryana. The university was established by the Government of Haryana in collaboration with Central Agencies for Development Aid located in Germany. Even though, the institute began its journey as an institution it was upgraded as an university in the year 2009 on the 1st of December. The campus of the university is located in the city of Faridabad at about 34 kms from the city of Delhi on National Highway NH2. The campus of the university has branches of Bijili Vitran Nigam and Indian Overseas Bank.

Faculties in YMCA University of Science & Technology:

YMCA University of Science and Technology offers education through three of its faculties namely Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Management and Faculties of Humanities. The Faculty of Engineering has three departments each for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer engineering respectively and Faculty of Engineering has the Department of MBA under its control. In addition, the faculty of Humanities has the department of Humanities and science under its control.

Admission of students to the UG engineering courses is done based on the merit secured by the candidates in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination. On the other hand, admission of students to the M. Tech courses is done based on merit secured by candidates in the GATE examination. Admission to Ph. D courses is done based on merit secured by Ph. D Entrance Test shortly called as PET examination. For getting into the Ph. D courses, candidates must have completed their PG degree in appropriate discipline and for M. Sc and M. Tech courses candidates must have completed their B. Sc and B. Tech in appropriate subject from a recognized university. For B. Tech admission, candidates must have completed their higher secondary in science stream from a recognized board of education.
