Sangrur District is located in the Indian state of Punjab in the North-western part of the nation and the district has four cities namely Sunam, Sangur, Melerkota and Dhuri. According to the census conducted in the year 2011, the district of Sangrur had a population of more than 16 lakh people and it has a sex ratio of 883 females for each 1000 males.
